I know many that might say “Death by Bacon? If that’s the case, what a way to go.”, but seriously… death by bacon.
I’m not to go on a “foods you shouldn’t eat” binge, and understand that people already know bacon, sausage and other processed meats are bad for them. However, the findings of a recent Pan-European nutritional study is pretty compelling and alarming. I’ll let you read the article for yourself (click on the bacon image that follows), but will ruin the study’s punch-line:
“Consuming high amounts of bacon, sausage and other processed meats can raise your risk of premature death by 44 percent.”
I know that bacon makes everything taste better, it would be my personal choice it I could magically turn any food into the most healthy thing ever so that I could eat as much as I want, and all Iron Chefs sing it’s praises, but 44%. I know it’s tasty and addictive, but maybe there are other things that you like to eat that will help you enjoy more time on earth. Just a thought.
